At Capo in Santa Monica, we’ve spent over two decades perfecting a delicate balance of tradition and innovation. Now, we’re proud to introduce that same ethos to St. Helena with Capo29. Drawing inspiration from our Santa Monica flagship, we blend time-honored techniques with modern sensibilities, ensuring each visit is as timeless as it is fresh.
Capo29 has been honored for its outstanding wine program in Wine Spectator’s 2025 Restaurant Awards, which celebrate the world’s best restaurants for wine. Capo29 will feature our award-winning wine list with more than 2,500 selections with superior breadth and depth from many of the world’s classic wine-producing regions. The Wine Spectator has already awarded the original Capo a Grand Award of Excellence for ten consecutive years. Capo29's bar will also features top-end spirits and serves the full menu.
Located on historical Highway 29 just outside of downtown St. Helena, the new restaurant will house one of the prettiest dining rooms around. It will be rustic yet elegant, with high-beamed ceilings, flickering candles, and a brightly burning corner fireplace.

Capo29 features world-renowned artists and their work to bring a unique addition to our guest's dining experience.
Pieces by Pablo Picasso, David Hockney, James Rosenquist, Peter Ladato and Roy Lichtenstein are just a few of the greats that flank the walls of our original restaurant, Capo in Santa Monica. Even the late, great Colonel Sanders makes a special appearance. Come enjoy a visual feast of eclectic contemporary art.
